TIM SCOTT McCONNELL

OK - my solo carreer started way back in 1983, with the 5 track debut album "Swear". In 1987 "The high lonesome sound" was released by Geffen Records. The album was produced by Mitchell Froom, and a lot of great musicians was envolved. After the Havalinas break-up I moved to Norway were I released two album's: "Decievers and belivers" (1994) and "Everywhere I've been" (1996). The MoMac Trio Released, 2002

it.s a real no B.S. cd most of the record is me live in the studio, fighting with my six or twelve-string, stomping my foot and singing.. I like this record alot.. very close to what i do live..

På slutten av 80-tallet var The Havalinas å regne med; et band med sterk americana-musikk frontet av Tim Scott. Bandet ble oppløst da de var på topp. Tim Scott McConnell flyttet til sin kjæreste i Norge. Han har ikke gjort så mye vesen av seg i denne perioden, men produserte og spilte på det sterke albumet til Tønes fra Egersund i fjor. Nå er Tim Scott ute med sitt første soloalbum på ti år. Han gjør det meste selv der kassegitaren stort sett er enerådende. "13 songs" låter litt slik som på Bruce Springsteen sitt "Nebraska". Tekstene og melodiene er nemlig så sterke at du lytter selv om arrangementene og produksjonen er sparsommelig og minimalistisk. Dette er sangskrivermusikk på et høyt nivå som er lett å like.
