One of the best recorded acoustic guitar tones I've achieved was with an Ellis and
built well enough for rigorous live touring. And they smell nice!
In my opinion, Ellis Guitars sound better than any factory made guitar on the market today.

Ellis Guitars possess a quality of sound both in exceptional resonance and tone that other
acoustics and semi-acoustics alike have trouble replicating. You can be playing an Ellis
semi-acoustic guitar unplugged one moment, listening to every clear and crisp note, then
plug it in and notice the exact same beautiful melodic sound, only amplified. There are too
many semi-acoustic guitars that sound great when amplified but otherwise sound far too average
(or vice versa). In my experience, the Ellis Guitars sound is unchangeable- what you hear
either amplified or acoustic is what you get. Music to the ears!

I recently won some recording time through the "WAM Song of the Year" competition,
and I just wanted to say that Dave Mann played some lead acoustic and resonator
guitar on one of the tracks which I recorded at Satellite Studios a couple of days ago.
I know the acoustic was one of yours and the resonator was too, they both sounded
absolutely awesome!!! I love the sound the acoustic has. I bought a Maton EM325C a
few months ago and thought that it had a really nice sound, but when I heard Dave’s
Ellis, all thoughts of how good my Maton sounded went out the window!

I saw Dave Mann supporting Eric Bibb on Saturday night. He used the Ellis guitar with standard tuning and the
Maton for the open tuning songs. The Ellis cut the Maton to shreds in terms of purity and fullness right through the notes.
I think it was obvious to anyone who was there which guitar sounded better. I also heard a few other people commenting
on how great the Ellis sounded.

Your guitars are beautiful. I like the designs and the 7 string is neat.
I just got an order for a Dyer replica harp guitar and am very interested in drone
accompaniment instruments as well.

The 000 model acoustic guitars and the 7-string resonator are among the
finest guitars I've ever laid my hands on. The acoustic guitars sound
equally good being strummed or delicately picked. The response and
projection are simply unmatched by any other guitar I've played in any price
range. The 7-string is very practical for slide style guitar and the extra low
string is something I found to be highly playable and useful. A real
pleasure to play

Saw Nathan Gaunt at Captain Stirling last night and was very impressed with the tone/sound of
the Ellis acoustic.

That's a great looking web site, bro'. Your guitars are absolutely
beautiful! I just LOVE the looks of the headstock on the classical...
and I sure would like to get my hands on that 7-string resonator!
Keep up the good work, Andrew!
