PURE SYSTEMS PASSIVE

The Pure Western is a transducer system only. It does not include a battery or on-board electronics. Don't be fooled by the sound of some competitors' "thin sounding" passive systems--the Pure Systems are definitely different. They sound full and rich and have sufficient output to drive most amps and PA systems directly! Pure Western - passive system for steel string guitar, with three pickup heads and an endpin jack.

ULTRA PURE SYSTEMS ACTIVE

Active Transducer Systems, consist of the Pure System
and a soundhole-access preamp for internal and non-destructive mount

UltraPure Guitar Systems feature high-gain-before-feedback with a much warmer, more "microphone like" tone than ordinary under saddle transducers. The UltraPure is comprised of a Pure System plus the UltraPure Preamp with soundhole access. Installation requires no destructive alteration to your instrument. The preamp is mounted inside at the edge of the soundhole, using a super-strong neodymium magnet, giving you convenient access to the volume slider. This versatile unit offers precise EQ as well--if you want to adjust bass, mid, treble, gain just pull the unit out a bit and tune the trimpots with a screw driver.

TRINITY SYSTEMS

The Trinity System is a high quality yet affordable and versatile pickup/mic combination with mixer/preamp. It was designed for the acoustic guitar, but it can be fitted to many different instruments. If you want to install the Trinity System on another instrument, we can supply you with the right pickup for your needs. The mic can be mounted in a number of positions, including elevated ones, due to its integrated 5" gooseneck. It comes with a special self adhesive gooseneck mounting hardware (as shown in diagram above). The Trinity Preamp allows perfect balancing of mic and pickup. It is built applying novel "Silent-Filter-Technology" and K&K's full size component philosophy. We use full size capacitors and transistors because they sound better that the miniature components in most of today's guitar preamps. Volume and gain controls, +/- 20 dB bass, midrange and treble filters for the transducer channel and volume, bass, treble and gain on the mic channel. This belt clip preamp is an amazing unit for its price!

QUANTUM TRINITY SYSTEMS

The Quantum Trinity System consists of:
The super natural Pure Western or Pure Classic guitar bridgeplate transducing system.
The Trinity Miniature Condenser Mic with integrated 5" gooseneck and 20-20.000 Hz frequency range.
The Quantum Blender Dual Channel Preamp, specially designed with the Trinity System in mind. But this unit goes one step further: Two fully independent channels feature special tailored powerful 3-band EQ, phase reverse switches, gain and volume controls. Mixed output options in both active-balanced and 1/4" line-level format, individual outputs, stereo and mono inputs, and effect loop. Channel one is switchable from mic to pickup impedance. All this, plus K&K's ultra low noise circuitry. Also includes a stereo endpin jack and a 6-foot stereo cable

The Quantum Trinity System is our top-of-the-line, versatile pickup/mic combination with blender preamp. It was designed for the acoustic guitar, but it can be fitted to many different instruments. If you want to install the Quantum Trinity System on another instrument, we can supply you with the right pickup for your needs. The mic can be mounted in a number of positions, including elevated ones, due to its integrated 5" gooseneck. It comes with a special self adhesive gooseneck mounting hardware (as shown in diagram above). The Quantum Blender allows for mixing a piezo transducer with a microphone, magnetic pickup or another piezo pickup. It can be used with any "2 wire" powered lavalier type condenser mic or with a piezo or magnetic pickup. With an appropriate microphone impedance matching transformer a dynamic mic can be used as well. Channel 2 is designed with K&K's Trinity System or Pure Western/Classic in mind, but it works well with all types of piezo transducers.

The Onboard Trinity System consists of:
The super natural Pure Western bridgeplate transducing system.
The Trinity Miniature Condenser Mic with integrated 5" gooseneck and 20-20.000 Hz frequency range.
The Onboard Dual Channel Preamp is specially designed with "Silent-Filter-Technology". Individual adjustable Gain-Vol-Bass-Middle-Treble controls for both pickup channel and mic channel. It mounts inside the guitar on the bottom with Velcro and measures only 2.5" x 2.75"
The system comes completely assembled with TRSS stereo endpin-jack wired in MONO so a standard guitar cable can be used; no soldering necessary
Self-adhesive magnetic battery holder
Volume control unit for inside-soundhole-edge mount with individual thumbwheel-pots for mic and pickup
The photo shows the preamp circuit board and its EQ-ing capability. The board mounts on the bottom of your instrument with Velcro. It is only 2.5" x 2.75" small. The circuit board has a metal backing but it is fully open to the top to allow for adjusting the EQ trimmers. It is designed to be preset to perfectly balance the pickup and mic in your guitar. It offers powerful +/- 20 dB EQ without the necessity to cut a hole in your valuable instrument. You can place it either directly under the soundhole for easy access with a long, small-blade flathead screwdriver or you can hide it deeper in your guitar. This system does not require any destructive alteration of your guitar other than the installation of the endpin jack.

FANTASTIK WESTERN UNDERSADDLE

Undersaddle transducer for steel-strings

This transducer was developed to transfer a maximum of corpus sound elements inside the bridge. The real guitar sound with all its natural frequencies is being recorded directly at the sound source. To meet these requirements, the K&K engineers created the "super-light" construction principle. Only ultra-thin material mantles the piezo-crystals and ensures the unrestrained spreading of the corpus wood vibrations to the crystals. An electronic post-processing to improve the sound is not required anymore, as opposed to other bridge pickups. The protected "super-light" construction is the main difference to other bridge pickup transducers. At the same time, this construction method results in another positive effect: The FanTaStick is extremely flexible and adjusts easily to any arched base. To balance the volumes of each string, we measure each crystal separately within a nano-inch range. Only six crystals of exactly the same height are combined to one FanTaStick. Furthermore, each crystal is fit in according to a defined direction of polarization. Even playing in "open tunings" is possible, because the FanTaStick already functions with low string pressure. The FanTaStick can be directly connected to an amplifier or mixer. However, for optimum adaptation of impedance of this extremely high-ohmic pickup to standard line or amplifier inputs, we recommend the use of the K&K preamps.
