Cape Lilac, Melia Azedarach also known as White Cedar, China Berry and Persian Lilac, is native to India, China and northern Australia but has been introduced and adapted to many countries around the world. It is part of the Mahogany family. Cape Lilac is used as guitar inlay material on Ellis custom acoustic guitars, and as Stompbox tonewood on the Ellis custom acoustic stompbox.

There are now FOUR LINES of the ELLIS ACOUSTIC STOMPBOX. The ORIGINALS - CUSTOM SHOP ORIGINALS - MINIS - CUSTOM SHOP MINIS are all made from solid Australian and international timbers. The ORIGINALS are around the size of a CD Case, the MINIS are around 25-30% SMALLER! All these STOMPBOXES come with a custom pickup, standard 1/4 inch end jack, and 12 month warranty.
